The Pumpkin Bread
Makes 2 loaves
2/3 cup shortening
2 2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup water
3 1/3 cup flour
4 eggs
1 can (16oz) pumpkin
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
bake @ 350° for 1 hour, 10 min.
The Glaze
3 tbsp melted butter
1 tbsp milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
